
PRIMER COATED MILD STEEL TANKS
Primer coated mild steel tanks has been in the market for the longest time, originated from the United Kingdom, in compliance with BS1564: 1975 This system is an economical water storage solution suitable for fire-fighting.
Externally protected by a layer of red-oxide primer and internally waterproofed by bituminous coating. Product comes with a set of standard items include 600mm x 600mm manhole, water level indicator and a standard design ladder (subject to project requirement and refer below for detail specification).
| STANDARD | Binasteel pressed steel sectional water tanks are hydraulically pressed to BS1564:1975 Type 1 (combined double flange at an angle of 45° and 90° to the face of the plate on all four sides). |
| MATERIAL | The steel used in the manufacturing of the panel and bracing system conforms to EN 10025 S275JR (43A equivalent). |
| THICKNESS OF PANEL | Depending on height of tank, conforms to BS 1564:1975. 4ft (1.22m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 8ft (2.44m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 12ft (3.66m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 16ft (4.88m) tanks: Bottom and 1st tier of sides – 6mm, 2nd, 3rd and top tiers of sides – 5mm. 1m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 2m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 3m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 4m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 5m tanks: Bottom and 1st tier of sides – 6mm, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and top tiers of sides – 5mm. |
