Composite stainless steel tanks
Patented under 1983 Patents Act, Composite Stainless Steel Tanks is Binasteel pioneered product, provide excellent solution, customised to meet the performance of an ordinary stainless steel tank, in a highly cost-effective manner. Internal components are made of stainless steel, leverage on its corrosion resistance ability, while the external components are made of resillent hot dip galvanized material, with estimated zinc coating lifespan of up to 82 years and above*.

This hero product is led by DURA panel and External Reinforcement System (ERS). DURA panel is uniquely designed by combining two types of steel, to optimise its performance in serving a longer lifespan while providing clean water. Together with External Reinforcement System (ERS), it simplifies the overall maintenance work while being economically and environmentally friendly.
Conforming to BS 1564-1975, DURA panel is a composition of hot dip galvanized steel as the external later (ISO 1461:2009 compliance) and a thin stainless steel (Grade 304 or 316) as the internal layer with a thickness of only 0.8mm. Advanced weilding technology is implemented to create a seamless joint between the layers.
The internal stainless steel layer is easy to clean and guarantees the highest level of hygiene for potable water. This thin layer comes with excellence corrosion resistance protects the tank from the inside, by shielding the ordinary hot dip galvanized external layer from the moisture within the tank, significantly prolonging the lifespan of the panel.
The external layer of DURA panel is hot dip galvanized to ISO 1461:2009, with a mean zinc coating thickness of above 70 µm. This metallurgical bonded coating is immune to ultraviolet rays and it has outstanding resistance to mechanical damage during the transportation and erection process.
Unlike the ordinary internal bracing system, ERS made of hot dip galvanized steel, is a bracing system applies externally.
This system is beautifully designed to reduce the cost of maintenance in the long run as ERS enables majority of the maintenance and inspection work to be carried out externally without entering into the tank.
With the application of ERS, it serves to improve the overall safety of the tank, mitigates the high risk on-site and minimized on water wastage.
