HOT DIP GALVANIZED STEEL TANKS
Hot dip galvanizing is widely recognized as one of the most reliable coating systems for combating corrosion.
All components are made of hot dip galvanized steel compliance to ISO 1461:2009, with zinc coating thickness
of 70um and above. The zinc coating prolongs the tank’s lifespan with excellent protection against rust and
corrosion. Suitable for outdoor, factory, commercial and fire-fighting. High density polyethylene (HDPE) lining
option is available subject to project requirement.
Product comes with a set of standard items include 600mm x 600mm manhole, water level indicator and a
standard design ladder / subject to project requirement and refer below for detail specification.
| STANDARD | Binasteel pressed steel sectional water tanks are hydraulically pressed to BS 1564:1975 Type 1 (combined double flange at an angle of 45° and 90° to the face of the plate on all four sides). |
MATERIAL | The steel used in the manufacturing of the panel and bracing system conforms to EN 10025 S275JR (43A equivalent). |
| THICKNESS OF PANEL | Depending on height of tank, conforms to BS 1564:1975. 4ft (1.22m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 8ft (2.44m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 12ft (3.66m) tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 16ft (4.88m) tanks: Bottom and 1st tier of sides – 6mm, 2nd, 3rd and top tiers of sides – 5mm. 1m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 2m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 3m tanks: Bottom and sides – 5mm. 4m tanks: Bottom and sclasses – 5mm. 5m tanks: Bottom and 1st tier of sides – 6mm, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and top tiers of sides – 5mm. |
| BRACING SYSTEM | Standard: Internal bracing system with stays and cleats. Optional: External reinforcement system with I-beams and tie rods. |
| COATING SYSTEM | All components are hot dip galvanized to ISO 1491:2009. |
| INTERNAL LINING SYSTEM | Standard: No internal lining. Optional: High density polyethylene lining with thickness of 2mm. |

| TANK COVER | Supported by trusses and designed to support the weight of maintenance personnel. Manhole and air-vent(s) with insect-proof screen are included as standard. |
